Livery Lite is an informal group for younger members of the Livery. We were set up whilst Roger Smaridge was Master and have developed into a network of friends who meet at dinners and Livery events.
Livery Lite welcomes new members and guests of the Livery, and are involved as mentors for the Amos Bursary (see below). We have been warmly received and encouraged by other Livery members and present our activities at the Court every year.
Our relationship with the Amos Bursary continues to grow and prosper – work which is led by James Bevan. The Bursary works with high potential young black boys from London schools, creating the support structures that maximise their opportunity to achieve their potential. A number of Livery Lite members now act as ‘Professional’ mentors to Bursary students. In this capacity mentors bring a perspective from their career and education to their students, who they may work with for several years on a semi-regular basis. As the students are 17-19 years old, guidance often involves career choices, CV tips, useful contacts and university interview preparation. If you are interested in becoming part of our network, please contact Nick O’Shea on firstname.lastname@example.org.
